Is Poland a good country to run a business?

One of the many advantages of Poland, encouraging to invest or run a business here, is its location. It is located in the central part of Europe, on the communication route connecting western and eastern Europe. It is also worth remembering that it is a member of the UN, NATO and the European Union, which proves that it has a significant position on the international arena. It is worth noting that in times of global economic crisis Poland maintained its strong position in comparison with other European countries, which additionally makes it a safe and stable country for business.

These activities have been recognized in many rankings, e.g. by the Bloomberg agency in 2017, where it ranked 22 on the list of the 50 most innovative countries. The ranking focused on the 6 most significant factors – research and development, production, education, research personnel, patents and new technologies. Furthermore in the ranking of the US News & World Report magazine in the “Best countries to invest in” category it took 3rd place, surpassing countries such as Great Britain, Germany or the United States.

It is worth noting that Poland is extremely attractive not only for geographical reasons, but also because of its positive attitude towards potential investors. It offers many benefits such as Special Economic Zones, tax exempts, etc. It also puts emphasis on qualified employees. Many people in Poland have higher education in areas such as economics, engineering or IT, which perfectly fits the current requirements of the labor market.

According to data, Poland will soon join the group of the 25 most-developed global markets. It will put it in the circle of interest of a larger group of potential foreign companies wishing to locate their capital here, as well as a sign that the risk of running a business in Poland is falling.
